Accounts Payables & Cashier

As the Accounts Payables & Cashier you are part of the Finance department of SAIC Motor Europe (SME) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The accounts payables department is responsible for the posting of purchase invoices, cash applications, prepare payments to suppliers and reimbursements to employees, reconciliations, month end closing activities and resolution of all assigned vendor accounts within SME.

Formally you report to the Finance Manager, but you will also have regular informal contact with your other colleagues from the Finance Department, and other SAIC Departments, in particular the Sales and Logistics department.

Your main responsibilities concern the following areas:

• The financial check on purchase invoices;
• Prepare payments and employee reimbursements;
• Post bank statements and promptly follow up any payment issues;
• Act as point of contact for partner(s) as well as suppliers and provide services accordingly;
• Assist in month-end reporting activities;
• Assist with clean AP ledgers; report on ageing and solve issues
• Continuous improvement of management information, provide analysis and communicate to affiliates.

In order to be able to perform the role effectively, we ask the following:

• Knowledge of SAP is a pre;
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Chinese is a pre;
• Experience in accounts payables, reconciliations and financial operations;
• Excellent Excel skills and computer savvy;
• Experience with extracting, processing, analyzing raw data;
• Quick learner with a ‘can do’ mentality;
